Graduate Skilled Visa
Temporary Graduate (485) visa
This category of temporary visa is for international students who have recently graduated from an Australian educational institution after completing at least two years of education. This visa has two streams
Graduate Work stream
This visa is valid for 18 months and applicable to students who have their occupation listed in Medium and Long term Strategic Skill List (MLTSSL).
In order to be eligible you must be
- Below 50 years of age
- be present in Australia at the time of application and decision
- Have an eligible visa
- Comply with the Australian study requirement (completion of eligible course in the last 6 months)
- Comply with the English language requirement
- Comply with the health and character requirements
- Should have appropriate health insurance
Post-Study Work (PSW) stream
This PSW stream is for the international students who graduate with a higher education degree from an Australian education provider, regardless of their field of study. It is granted for up to four years and is a temporary visa.
It allows the applicants to
- Stay in Australia temporarily with full travel, work and study rights
- Bring their family members
- Apply for permanent visas on meeting requirements
